Joe did a great job of lighting our house. He’s very nice, talented, and shows up when he says he will. I wanted the lights to accentuate house, not so lit up that it’s like a runway. Because he has a background with doing lighting for concerts, he knew where to place the light for best results, not just randomly placing them anywhere. After driving around neighborhood, our lighting is also ‘softer’ – not so bright and definitely not as white. You don’t think too much about that (at least I didn’t), until you look at everyone else’s. Personally, I think ours look better. It’s nice because he’s the owner and installer.

I have been in the music industry, working as a lighting designer, lighting technician, and for many years. I quickly learned that I wanted to be working with bigger and better lighting equipment, so I had to be constantly learning and improving. I was lucky enough to go from club bands work on huge arena tours, starting in 84 going from Kool and the Gang to many country acts as well as WWF wrestling.

With this lengthy lighting design experience, I was able to open my own landscape lighting design company a few years ago. Since then, I have been fortunate to have mentors in the field of architectural and landscape lighting design, who have illuminated Oprah’s home, designer Valentino’s estate, the acropolis in Greece and more. My desire and passion is to be creative, and to create a atmosphere for my lighting design clients to relax and enjoy in the evenings.

Joe’s “soft palette” of light fills the space and creates a picture that is calming and pleasant to the eye. He followed up two nights in a row to make sure we were pleased with the results and we are very satisfied with the outcome. He also added a rose filter to the Japanese Maple light to enhance the color and diffusion filters to reduce glare. We got to hear amazing stories from his concert days too! And for the same price as the competition, we got a wide variety of lights perfectly suited to the project, excellent service, and the assurance that the lights will not suddenly stop working due to a poor install.

We are beyond impressed with the work that Joe and Lite Visions did on our front yard landscape lighting! It was desperately in need of replacing and now looks absolutely fabulous. We do one thing and excel at it, Landscape Lighting. Do you believe one person can do 5-7 things and be and excel at all those things? Hardscapes, Landscapes, Mulch, Ponds, Fences, Tree Trimming, oh and we can also do lighting, lol. I see trucks in Luxury neighborhoods daily when out working and laugh to myself, because I see what those guys are installing.

They find the cheapest thinnest fixtures they can purchase,bulbs included and install them for the low price they add onto the 15-30,000 hardscape or landscape project they installed. Sad thing is that the client will have no idea until they are long gone and the year warranty is long gone as well. Some lighting manufacture had them attend a half day class and they are suddenly lighting experts.

Professional landscape lighting involves a well thought out design that the clients can look out of their home and enjoy as well as the lighting can be viewed by neighbors riding by. We live on a large wooded lot and recently did a major house remodel which required pulling up a lot of our existing lighting that was over 15 years old. Joe came out on a Saturday and did a complete and thorough walk around of our lot, asking questions about what we wanted and also making suggestions. By the end of that consultation, which lasted a couple of hours, we pretty much decided to give Joe carte blanche to do a complete and total reset, so confident were we in the vision he had for our property – and we are so glad that we did. Joe works with what I would call a “soft palette” – he fills in spaces with light and with balance. He most definitely “paints a picture” The resultant effect is calming to the spirit and beautiful to the eye. After the installation, he came back out two nights in a row to make sure we were happy with the vision he had created and that he was happy with it too. Like I said, Joe is an artist. He is also a genuinely nice guy who I have enjoyed getting to know just as much as I’ve enjoyed working with him. I really can’t offer a higher recommendation than that.

Joe is an artist whose palette is light! He replaced our “standard” (mediocre) driveway path lights with downlights strategically located in trees resulting in a dreamy, soft-lit approach to our house. Next he is designing the lighting for Phase II of our landscaping project…lighting our front entry and parking area. The results speak to Joe’s excellence and professionalism!

Our home is about 100 yards off the road and our driveway winds through the woods. Joe visited with us about 10 days ago and listened intently to what my wife and I wanted to achieve. Joe was simply awesome to work with on our project! We put him against our estimate & demo from Carolina Outdoor Lighting, and Lite Visions won out in every way. He had great suggestions during the lighting demo, and combined with our own ideas we ended up with a truly excellent result. He had these great up/down lights which worked perfectly for our pergola structures, which simply wasn’t an option from the competition. He also had RGB Bluetooth controlled spotlights to flood the forest behind our property, where the competition had only white and non controllable. The addition of color back there is so much fun and we really look forward to using it during parties & BBQs!
During install Joe was quick, efficient and cleaned up after completion. All of the wires were hid as much as possible and left in a tidy order. The little things impressed us too, like adding a rose filter to the Japanese Maple light to enhance the color, or diffusion filters to reduce glare, etc. We also got to hear lots of awesome stories from his concert days!!
For literally the same price as competition, we got a wide variety of lights perfectly suited to the project, excellent service, and can rest easy that the lights suddenly won’t work next year because of a shoddy install.
