Lite Visions creates artistic landscape lighting in Raleigh, NC. In fact, owner Joe Yanulevich brings over 35 years of concert and theatrical stage lighting to every home. He is also a Raleigh native and homeowner. Because of that stage background, he is one of only a handful of award-winning landscape lighting designers who started on concert stages. As a result, Joe designs and installs the very best in outdoor landscape lighting today.
Joe has a passion for the dramatic. So he turns his stage experience into lighting that wows homeowners and creates ambiance after dark. Meanwhile, he still supports the arts and runs spotlight for local shows when he can.
From Concert Stages to Raleigh Landscapes
Lighting has been Joe’s life for more than three decades. He designed lighting for regional bands and ran lights for opening acts on national tours. He also toured as a lighting technician with artists including Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Tim McGraw and Alan Jackson. Joe isn’t new to the Triangle or to lighting. Many of our projects are located throughout the North Raleigh, Wake Forest, and the Falls Lake areas, where larger properties and mature landscapes allow for a more composed and immersive lighting design.
Artistic Landscape Lighting in Raleigh, Built Like a Stage
Every Lite Visions project starts with Joe at your property after dark. First, he looks at it the way he looked at a stage for 35 years. What should the eye find first? What should glow softly, and what should stay in shadow? He calls the result visionettes: something lit, something dark, then something lit again. As a result, walking your property feels like moving through scenes on a Broadway stage.
Joe designs every system himself with high-quality, low-voltage LED fixtures. Then he’s the last one on site, making the final nighttime adjustments. Also, Lite Visions is locally owned, not a franchise, and lighting is the only thing we do.
Of course, your trees and gardens keep growing. That’s why our Lighting Preservation Program, with annual or biannual visits, keeps the design looking the way it did on the first night.
