I quickly learned that I wanted to be working with bigger and better lighting equipment, so I had to be constantly learning and improving. I was lucky enough to go from club bands work on huge arena tours, starting in 84 going from Kool and the Gang to many country acts as well as WWF wrestling.

With this lengthy lighting design experience, I was able to open my own landscape lighting design company a few years ago. Since then, I have been fortunate to have mentors in the field of architectural and landscape lighting design, who have illuminated Oprah’s home, designer Valentino’s estate, the acropolis in Greece and more. My desire and passion is to be creative, and to create a atmosphere for my lighting design clients to relax and enjoy in the evenings.

We live on a large wooded lot and recently did a major house remodel which required pulling up a lot of our existing lighting that was over 15 years old. Joe was recommended to us and once we became aware of his background in theatrical lighting and got a Iook at his website we couldn’t wait to work with him. Joe came out on a Saturday and did a complete and thorough walk around of our lot, asking questions about what we wanted and also making suggestions. I Had several quotes, but Joe stood out as being the most professional and was the only owner who installed the lights himself. He was able to add filters to some lights and positioned some that would highlight the main tree perfectly while also hitting some of the larger surrounding trees-something only a pro would do so well! We recently redid our whole backyard. The final piece was the lighting. We found Joe through an online search, he came out and met with us, heard what we wanted, refined that based on his experience, pulled together a demo for us so we could see what it looked like before we decided, and then, once we gave the go ahead, he did the install.
