Landscape lighting does more than help you see at night. It is also a form of art. Thinking of landscape lighting as art changes how a yard looks and feels after dark. With careful placement, a simple garden becomes a captivating evening retreat.
Good lighting also highlights architecture and creates a warm, welcoming mood. And it adds safety and security after dark.
How can light turn a garden into art?
Every yard has its own story. Gentle path lights can guide guests along a walkway. Soft uplighting can reveal the shape of a favorite tree. Downlighting from branches can cast purposeful shadows across a patio.
Together, these layers can lift your home’s exterior to a magazine-worthy level.
How do you balance unity and variety?
Balance is a skill. Unity gives the whole scene a cohesive glow. Variety adds interesting highlights that draw the eye.
We mix different types and levels of light to create harmony. Then we use different techniques to show off unique features. The result is a space that is both beautiful and practical.
Why work with nature instead of against it?
Great designs blend lighting with the natural elements already there. Light can trace the contours of a garden bed. It can showcase a majestic tree or add a soft glow around a water feature.
We design lighting that complements your yard’s natural beauty. Your backyard becomes a calm oasis every night. Our signature look is warm 2700K light, soft and low, with no glare.
Who designs the lighting?
Joe brings 35+ years of concert and theatrical lighting to every project. His work has earned Masters of Landscape Lighting recognition. Every project begins with a daytime consultation. After installation, Joe returns at night to fine-tune each fixture.
