Lite Visions Landscape Lighting, we do one thing and do it right. When Lite Visions Landscape Lighting’s owner Joe decided to go from lighting up the stars to lighting under the stars in Raleigh NC, he knew lighting would be his only focus.

As a former concert and stage lighting designer and lighting technician for bands since he turned 18, Lite Visions Landscape Lighting’s owner Joe searched out the best professional grade landscape lighting fixtures as well as cables and connect methods to install at his client’s homes and gardens. Joe also had many lighting vendors reach out to him due to his concert and stage lighting background and found only a handful of these companies who would stand up to his testing in the field.

I wanted to give my clients the best possible value for their money. Joe also sided up with a few mentors he found in the landscape lighting industry and chose to pick their brains in landscape lighting, from one mentor who traveled to Italy to work with the Designer Valentino on his estate to another who worked with several celebrity clients to make their property into a beautiful evening showcase. Joe also works with a few manufactures every year on a continuing education in the landscape lighting industry, helping give back to others in lighting industry.

I get a few phone calls weekly that start out like this,I have a 1-3 year old lighting system and it just doesn’t look like some I have seen. Can you stop by and take a look at it. Whomever installed their lighting gave them a very basic install and probably did not even come back to do a night time lighting focus. I usually set up a time to stop by and see what their outdoor landscape lighting looks like and setup a time to stop back another evening and do a nighttime demonstration of what their outdoor landscape lighting could look like. I work to create depth,definition as well as layers to give a property a magical nighttime lighting effect. Unlike a lot of low voltage outdoor landscape lighting companies who simply have added outdoor lighting as a secondary sideline to their other business, or have bought into a cookie cutter outdoor lighting franchise.

Outdoor Lighting is Lite Visions only business and recieves 100% of my attention.

I spent many years travelling in the music industry doing lighting for bands.When I decided to stop travelling 10 months out of the year and was talking to a friend who was in the outdoor lighting industry he convinced me that outdoor lighting design would be a natural transition for me,as I was already lighting up structures only on stages.

I started out many years ago working for a neighbor whose kids I grew up with in a beach band called the Embers,that set the stage for working with a local group that had a record out called Nantucket and another Raleigh band who had several records out Glassmoon. I was in Atlanta doing a show and called a friend with a production company to eat lunch and it was a turning point in my career,he offered me a tour with a group called Kool and the Gang,not only would I be a technician setting up themassive concert lighting,but I would get to operate lighting for several opening bands including KC and the Sunshine band. Over the years I was fortunate to work in all generes of music from rock to country to pop and even got to tour with WWF wrestling and the holiday sensation Trans Siberian Orchestra.

I consider myself very fortunate to have had a long career in the music industry,but am glad to be close to home and designing beautiful outdoor lighting that homeowners can enjoy.
